1. Who We Are

SellingBot (“we”, “our”, “us”) is a WhatsApp AI sales agent platform operated by WeDev Studios. Our service enables businesses to automate customer conversations, manage orders, and send invoices via the WhatsApp Business Platform.

2. Data We Collect

• Business owners: name, email address, and WhatsApp phone number provided during sign-up; business name, address, and contact details entered in settings; WhatsApp Business Phone Number ID and Access Token for API integration.
• End customers (WhatsApp users): WhatsApp phone number, display name (as provided by the WhatsApp platform), conversation history, order details, and feedback ratings submitted through the bot.
• Usage data: timestamps, message counts, and analytics events used to operate the service.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To operate the WhatsApp bot and process customer orders on behalf of the business owner.
• To generate and deliver invoices via WhatsApp.
• To authenticate business owners via our identity provider (Clerk).
• To display analytics and order management in the business dashboard.
• To respond to support enquiries.

We do not sell personal data to third parties or use it for advertising.

4. WhatsApp & Meta

SellingBot is built on the WhatsApp Business Platformprovided by Meta Platforms, Inc. Messages sent through the bot are transmitted via Meta’s infrastructure and are subject to WhatsApp’s Privacy Policy. We are a data processor acting on behalf of each business owner (the data controller) for their customer conversations.

5. Data Sharing

We share data only with the following service providers:

• Meta / WhatsApp Business Platform — to send and receive messages.
• Clerk — for authentication and session management of business owner accounts.
• Railway / cloud hosting providers — to host the application and database.
• AWS S3 (or equivalent) — for storage of business logos and invoice files.

6. Data Retention

Business account data is retained for the duration of the account and deleted within 30 days of account termination upon request. Customer conversation and order data is retained to allow business owners to manage their operations; business owners may request deletion at any time.

7. WhatsApp Business Policy Compliance

We comply with the WhatsApp Business Policy. Data received through the WhatsApp Business Platform is used solely to provide and improve the SellingBot service. We do not use WhatsApp conversation data to serve advertisements, sell to third parties, or for any purpose outside of facilitating business transactions on behalf of the business owner.

8. Data Deletion Requests

You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing contact@sellingbot.io with the subject line “Data Deletion Request”. We will process your request within 30 days and confirm when your data has been removed from our systems.

9. Children's Privacy

SellingBot is intended for use by businesses and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Security

We use HTTPS, encrypted database connections, and access controls to protect data. WhatsApp Access Tokens stored in the database are used solely to authenticate API calls to the WhatsApp Business Platform on behalf of the business owner.

11. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email us at contact@sellingbot.io.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify business owners of material changes via email. Continued use of SellingBot after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
